Are you doing a foundation at the moment? Where? Would you recommend it? Are you planning on doing another degree? Thank you so much :) I'm a bit indecisive over whether or not I wanna do one after y13
I have one week of exhibition duties left and then I will have finished foundation! I did it at my local art college (in the north east of england). Yeah I would highly recommend it! Doing the Foundation course has definitely reaffirmed that I want to study art at university and it gave me the opportunity to study art full time, which I’ve found a lot different to A-Levels. It’s been my favourite year of education so far as you have a lot of freedom and control over what you do. Also as it’s very independent it has been useful in preparing me for university. It’s allowed me to try out lots of different mediums (including textiles and performance) which I’ve really enjoyed! It has also helped me get into universities I wouldn’t have got into if I had applied straight from A-levels! Also the course is usually free so if you don’t end up enjoying it you haven’t lost anything! I’m going to study a Fine Art degree at Goldsmiths in september! Foundation courses are not all the same so I’d recommend looking at different places you can do a foundation course at. Hope you manage to decide and good luck! If you want to ask anything else feel free!
The second photo of your most recent upload brings down the quality. The light painting of the face by itself would be a lot more effective in putting across your message in my opinion. Love your creativity. Your blog is excellent.
Yeah I totally agree, I was thinking of taking it down altogether. Thanks for your feedback, really appreciated!
After reading ‘Steal Like An Artist’ by Austin Kleon I’ve decided to start a blog for my personal use, a quote from the book when referring to having a blog/website was: ‘Having a container can inspire us to fill it’ so that’s what i’m doing. I’m not sure what i’ll post but I think doing something like this will help me achieve the stuff I want to do.
